We have been mandated to create a logo and website for a new high-end hotel opening in Solothurn.
Solothurn is one of the oldest cities of Switzerland. The influence of the baroque style is very present and appreciated threw out the city. It was important for the client to feel this style influence in the visual identity.
As wished, I kept this influence, but gave it a modern twist. The combination of a serif and non serif fonts, the neutral light grey color and the round classic shape around the DC initials creates a modern and classic logo.
The website is created with a template on Wordpress. The grid brings clarity and modernity to the website and gives the ability categorize the informations for a more user friendly and intuitive experience.
Packaging concept, packaging design, pictograms design
During my internship at Johannes Torpe Studios we created a new packaging for Palaeo's famous egg wraps.
The aim was to offer a simple packaging that made the eating process less messy and offered a nicer experience to the consumer.
It had to contain the liquids dripping from the wrap when eating it. We created a whole new shape, capable of holding the wrap and recover the liquids falling from the wrap when eating it..
The side of the new container can be torn to easily eat the wrap while using the patterned paper to hold it together.
Pictograms were added on the packaging so the team could quickly identify the filling of the wrap.
Because we loved the existing unique typography of Palaeo, we decided to use it to create the pictograms. Each one is a combination of different letters.

The name Le Square, refers to the geometric shape, used by Lego as a brick, but it is also in french a place oustide where parents meet and have a great time while kids play around safely.
The logo in its red rectangle shape represents a new brick that is being added to the brand Lego. It is a new part of the company.
The website is flexible and modern. Every part adapts and if wanted more information can be displayed. As it is a website for a new product, it reflects the colors, the concept and the values of the brand. It also allow parents to register their kid online.

We were ask to find and create a print concept for the french book editor "Folio". We came up with two global concepts.
Not only did we find the concepts, but we did the whole Art Direction as we found the models and decor, took the photos, wrote baselines for each concepts and created the layouts of the prints.
Concept n°1: We based our concept on the idea that when we are reading a book, as the hours goes by, we usually end up in a very awkward position.
But who cares? Reading a great novel is taking a break from the everyday routine and not even a numb arm and tinglings
